The Welcome Home | Family House Closing Gift for New Homeowners
The Welcome Home is a family house closing gift: an 8" hand-thrown ceramic vase from Mod Pots and an 8oz Oak & Sage hand-poured soy candle from The Baltic Club, packed in the navy Gitano Kit gift box. It is priced at $169.00 CAD and ships across Canada.
Why we made The Welcome Home
A family moving into a house is thinking about making it feel like theirs, not about unpacking boxes. The Welcome Home gives them two real pieces for that: a sculptural vase for the counter, and candlelight for the first night in. Built for realtors and brokerages who want a closing gift with real weight to it.
What's inside
- Mod Pots "Granny Vase" (8") — a hand-thrown ceramic vase by Edmonton, Alberta studio potter Denise Ahlefeldt. A real sculptural piece, not a bud vase — meant to hold fresh-cut greenery or branches on a counter or table.
- The Baltic Club "Oak & Sage" candle (8oz) — hand-poured soy wax in Montreal, Quebec, in a glossy amber glass jar with a gold ribbed lid. Bergamot and clary sage opening into black tea, white cedar and balsam fir. Up to 50 hours burn time.
Arrives in our navy Gitano Kit magnetic gift box with a 2" ribbon, cushioned presentation.

House closing gift questions, answered
What is a good closing gift for a family buying a house? Something with real presence for the new space — a piece for the counter and a candle for the first night in. That is the idea behind The Welcome Home.
Can I order 25 or 50 boxes for my brokerage? Yes. Volume orders are welcome with no order-quantity cap. Message us first so we can confirm timing.
Is every vase the same? Each piece is hand-thrown, so there is light, natural variation from one to the next — that's part of it being handmade.
